Chelsea reached the League Cup quarter-finals thanks to two own goals in a 3-2 win over second-tier Derby County on Wednesday as Frank Lampard's return to his former club ended in disappointment.
The Premier League side write into the contracts of all their domestic loan players that they can not play against the Blues but at Lampard's request, Tomori and Mount will get to face their parent club. Who goes through clear against Chelsea like we did on goal?
Both Chelsea and Derby have enjoyed good starts under their new managers with the Blues now unbeaten in the Premier League and Derby sixth in the Championship. "I can tell you it's not that".
"There were a couple of big moments at the end when Richard Keogh and David Nugent almost scored, but he'll be so proud of his team with the way they played and the way they passed the ball", Redknapp told Sky Sports.
"They've got players who showed they'll be more than capable of holding their own if they come up to the Premier League". It was a great opportunity to see them play in front of us and we took the opportunity.
He added: "And we can make better evaluations on them".
"This was the plan, to keep him at least for pre-season with us". There will be a lot at stake. The Premier League is a different level.
"But there will also be a psychological component".
It's a certainty that both sets of supporters will join as one to serenade Lampard and applaud Morris as they emerge from the tunnel but once the whistle blows, the home crowd will focus on getting behind their team. It will give them a good test.
The Blues hero couldn't pull off another shock in the competition as his Derby side went out in a five-goal thriller.
Zola was a team-mate of Lampard's at Chelsea and is now the Blues' assistant boss.

"It will be easy to do that because I respect the club".
"He seems to have lost that now, and Frank Lampard must watch him arriving in the box from that inside left position and think "hey wait a minute, I know that, I used to do that".
"But Frank, for the club, has really made a big mark, a big impression, like John Terry". "Very similar to me when I first came with West Ham many years ago".
Zola says Lampard's legacy as a legend will help him in coaching as he takes on the challenge of leading Derby County, who are regarded as a major club in English football. Having Jody [Morris] who has experience at youth teams is important. "They can turn something into a goal where nobody else would have seen a goal".
