There will be nine outdoors areas in which to explore and fight for the game's initial launch, and you can expect to encounter lots of new creatures never before seen in a Diablo game. The Worldstone lies shattered, yet great power remains within its corrupted fragments.
That's unexpected, to be sure, but Diablo Immortal promises to be more than just a watered-down tablet version of the original trilogy. Diablo's next game, Diablo Immortal, is all about storytelling and teaming up with friends and strangers, all while saving the world from demons that inexplicably drop legendary helmets and gold. Taking place between the end of Diablo II: "Lord of Destruction and the beginning of Diablo III, this new chapter in the Diablo saga puts players in the role of one of six iconic classes-Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, and Wizard-in an ongoing battle against the demonic forces of Skarn, Herald of Terror". Same goes for the gameplay trailer below, showing the basic mobile controls and UI on top of what looks like a rehash of Diablo 3. If you use it, it will apparently summon a "portal to untold riches".

While no release window has yet been announced for Diablo Immortal, players can visit the game's official website and pre-register to stay updated and potentially be invited to future beta tests. Each class will have a unique selection of 12 or more different skills to choose from. Diablo Immortal is being developed by Blizzard in collaboration with NetEase, the studio behind PUBG clone Rules of Survival.
Many people assumed the teases were for an inevitable Diablo 4 announcement, but Blizzard tried to temper that expectation a couple weeks ago.
