Part 3 of the Fortnitemare event is now available, which means there's new challenges for Fortnite players on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android to complete. In a similar vein, to close out its ongoing Fortnitemares Halloween event, Epic Games has announced another live event is on the way and it's coming this Sunday, Nov. 4 at 1:00 p.m. ET, 10:00 a.m. PT.
The fifth update of Season 6 adds Balloons, and yes you can use them for flying.
The Fortnite server status doesn't make for good reading right now, as Epic Games takes the game offline for the next few hours.
You can change the number of balloons you've got equipped by using primary fire to inflate one or alternate fire to let go of one.
They're Epic rarity, so you won't see them a lot, but if you're lucky you'll find 'em in the usual places: floor loot, chests, Supply Drops, Supply Llamas, and Vending Machines. All three are no longer in the public playlists, although they're still available in Playground like the other vaulted weapons and items. And the new update also brings support for PS4 and Xbox One controllers on Mac systems.
- Grass updates more frequently resulting in smoother animation.
But Epic Games warns not to float for too long, because Balloons don't last forever and will pop when they reach the max height.
Only occurs in instances where vehicle velocity will be a net gain to grapple force.
- Reduced volume of Cube Monsters and dynamic spawners. You'll also want to be in a match at that time so you can witness the event. The Epic's official blog post also mentions that they will continue the glider re-deploy feature based on the internal data collection and feedbacks.
