One snap shows Charles and his wife Camilla seated on a bench in front of sons Harry and William who are standing in the back.
The Prince of Wales and Queen Elizabeth's eldest son, Charles was born at Buckingham Palace on November 14, 1948, four years before his now 92-year-old mother ascended to the throne following the death of her father George VI.
In an interview for the documentary Prince, Son & Heir-Charles at 70, Camilla talks about what an fantastic grandparent her husband is.
"I think ... he's reached his 70th year it's a ideal time to consolidate a little bit because as most families would do, you are anxious about having them around and making sure their health's okay", the Duke of Cambridge explained.
The photos were taken by photographer Chris Jackson in the garden of Clarence House, and feature Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children. Prince Louis rests in the arms of his mother Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge.
Check out Prince Harry with his left hand firmly on Meghan Markle's waist. that's a super intimate pose as far as Royal Family portraits go. So, having more time with him at home would be lovely, and being able to you know, play with the grandchildren. Chubby little Louis looks strikingly similar to his big brother when he was a baby, with the pair sharing the same shade of blond hair and blue eyes. Three-year-old Princess Charlotte is her usual adorable self seated next to Camilla. "It was particularly special to capture such an informal and relaxed family portrait over a fun afternoon in the gardens of Clarence House".
