After two defensive offsides penalties, rookie kicker Michael Badgley nailed a 29-yard field goal as time expired, his first game victor as a pro. It would take a third try to eventually reach the game-winning score. Before Sunday, they were 174-0-1 at home when up by at least 16 points.

After forcing another Pittsburgh punt, the Chargers marched 79 yards on seven plays for the go-ahead score, capped by rookie Justin Jackson's first touchdown on an 18-yard dash up the middle with a little more than eight minutes left to play.
The Chargers scored again on their next offensive drive and held off the Steelers by controlling the clock at the end. His favorite target was Allen, who finished with 148 yards and one touchdown on 14 receptions.
While Pittsburgh has already adjusted to life without running back Le'Veon Bell, the Chargers will be playing their first game without starting running back Melvin Gordon.
Roethlisberger, who was making a number of impressive throws in the first half, was effectively held at bay later in the game. Antonio Brown caught 10 passes for a season-high 154 yards and a touchdown. Badgley's ensuing 34-yard attempt was blocked, but Pittsburgh's celebration was cut short when the Steelers were again flagged for crossing the line of scrimmage early. He was also a target for Rivers in the air with five catches for 22 yards.
But the Steelers defense had to do something it rarely did after halftime, and that was get a stop.
What Los Angeles and Pittsburgh share in common is both teams were upset by the Broncos within the past two weeks. The Steelers have dropped two straight for the first time this season and seemingly had no answer for the Chargers in the second half.
