Season 13 of Criminal Minds will air on Fox (DStv channel 125) at 19:55 on Friday, 18 January.
The long-running CBS show "Criminal Minds" is coming to an end after Season 15! The cast and crew are now filming the Season 14 finale and will remain in continuous production to knock out the last 10 episodes.
It seems that perhaps the trouble that has brewed behind the scenes of Criminal Minds may also have something to do with the series' impending end.
The beloved series' official Twitter account confirmed the news that its upcoming 15th season will be its last with an "epic final season" promised to viewers.
Criminal Minds is co-produced by ABC Studios and CBS TV Studios. Criminal Minds has put its characters through plenty of ups and downs, deaths and divorces, and worse. But ratings for recent seasons of the show have slipped, which likely explains why CBS made a decision to pull the plug.
Showrunner Erica Messer told TVLine that news of the series ending was "bittersweet".
The CBS drama series has been renewed for a final, 10-episode 15th season, which will shoot directly after the end of the current season of the show.
As for the finale, Messer revealed the episode will be written by her and series star Kirsten Vangsness. As the outlet detailed, the final installments of Criminal Minds are to be shot sequentially with the series' season 14 episodes. Over that time, its ensemble cast has included Mandy Patinkin, Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson, Lola Glaudini, Paget Brewster, Aisha Tyler, and many others. I also don't know if I would've anticipated that we'd have 325 episodes by the time it's all said and done. It has suffered from a few controversies in its long time on the air, including an altercation with a producer which resulted in actor Thomas Gibson being fired.
