Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez showed her support for fellow Bronx resident Cardi.
Cardi B is heating up the internet with her political commentary. "This shit is really fucking serious bro, this shit is insane", she said in the clip. "Our country is in a hellhole right now all for a f-ing wall and we really need to take this serious".
The shutdown, triggered in part by the president's demands for more than $5 billion to build a border wall, is quickly approaching its second month and is the longest in US history. "Well I know a little something something", Cardi wrote on Instagram as a response to her critics - those who question her credibility in assuming a political mantle. I'm a lover of words, photography, books, travel, animals and The Ohio State Buckeyes. She was talking about the 800,000 federal workers whose lives and livelihoods have been significantly affected by the shutdown and the millions of underprivileged people who will not have government assistance as this shut down persists. "Looks like @iamcardib is the latest genius political mind to endorse the Democrats. HA!"
After the commentator pointed out the rapper's double standard, Cardi B called Lahren a "sheep" who is "blinded with racism". Keep it up, guys!
"I'm sure you would", Lahren responded.
The popular rapper quickly responded with threats of violence, saying she would "dog walk" Lahren.
It's unclear why Tomi is so upset that Cardi is expressing her political beliefs instead of challenging the beliefs themselves, but calling her moronic and then hashtagging #BuildthatWall isn't the best comeback.
Popular new Democratic Senator Alexandria Ocasia-Cortez, who hails from the rapper's native The Bronx in NY, has taken Cardi's side in the feud, stating: "Why do people think they can mess with Bronx women without getting roasted?". "They act as though our borough hasn't been perfecting the clapback since the Sugarhill Gang".
