PSG's Adrien Rabiot has told Tottenham Hotspur he isn't interested in joining them, opening the door for the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea to make an offer. Barcelona are also looking for his signature.
The Catalan giants chose to sign Frenkie de Jong from Ajax instead which opens the possibility of Rabiot moving to England.
Sporting director Antero Henrique requested that Adrien Rabiot was frozen out of the first team set up after he refused to sign a new deal.
However, the Mirror are citing a report from Paris United that claims Rabiot has turned down Tottenham's proposal because he's holding out for a move to Liverpool in order to play under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
PSG would rather sell Rabiot for a bargain £20million than allow him to leave on a free at the end of the season.
The midfielder has made only seven appearances in all competitions this season and has been laid low by a knee injury since he last featured for Spurs at Crystal Palace on November 10. Pochettino also spoke to the 24-year-old in the week and guaranteed him a starting role.
Meanwhile, Pochettino has reportedly spoken to the player with the hopes of making him the latest PSG player to make his way to the North London club. But his entourage have now officially declined a move. The box-to-box midfielder supported the Reds as a child and modelled his game on Steven Gerrard.
Previously, Liverpool were in the race to sign Rabiot in the past, but the pair of Chelsea and Bayern Munich are now eager to price him away from the French capital. That happens in football - the relationship between the player and the club doesn't work.
