"He's just a strong man", Wyatt said of Cosby, assuring the actor was having an "amazing experience".
The disgraced TV legend not only called prison an "amazing experience" according to spokesperson Andrew Wyatt, he also dictated a message to the public.
But Wyatt said that prison has accomplished something his wife has tried to do for 55 years - get Cosby to stop drinking coffee.
Cosby was sentenced to three to 10 years in a Pennsylvania state prison following his April 2018 conviction for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his home outside Philadelphia in 2004.
The case came forward after the continual pressure from the testimonies from dozens of women. Constand was one of numerous women who accused the comedian of similar crimes, which he allegedly committed throughout his long career. Amy Worden, press secretary for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, told KTLA-TV, a CW affiliate in Los Angeles, Cosby is in a single cell without a cellmate. He was previously held adjacent to the infirmary.
Wyatt said Cosby has lost weight while in prison thanks to a new exercise and diet program, waking up at 3:30 a.m. each day to work out in his cell.
Wyatt and Cosby's attorneys have been visiting the comedian in prison. Now the amusing part about it (is) Mrs. Cosby's been trying to stop ... drinking coffee for 55 years and it took this to stop him from drinking coffee.
Not surprisingly, his spokesman said, "he does not eat in the area with other residents, he does not have a cellmate, and he does not exercise with other residents".
'Mr. Cosby said Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela helped him prepare for this chapter of his life, ' added Wyatt.
Wyatt said he visits Cosby every other week - and the star's attorneys visit as well. "When I visit him, it's nothing sad about it", he said.
As reported, his wife of more than 50 years, Camille, hasn't visited him and doesn't plan to. However, Cosby does speak to Camille three times a day for three minutes a call - the maximum amount of time he can spend on the phone.
