CHINESE PHONE MAKER OnePlus will equip its next flagship smartphone with a pop-up camera, if alleged leaked renders of the OnePlus 7 are to be believed. See the OnePlus 7 renders from OnLeaks post if you want renderings of what's likely the basic shape in play - slightly different from this Vivo phone.
If OnePlus' release schedule is anything like past year, we should see a OnePlus 7 launch sometime around May.
The previous leak generally agrees with these new renders, though it would appear the extra space in the void behind the case in the last set of images we saw wasn't for a sliding mechanism. The major changes, however, seems to be on the camera front with the OnePlus 7 likely to get a triple camera setup at the rear. The Price Baba report suggests 6.5-inch display with full HD+ resolution. The OnePlus 7 is expected to measure 162.6 x 76 x 8.8 mm, with the thickest point (camera bump) being 9.7 mm thick.
With all that in mind, I'll remind you these are just leaks for the time being, and we'll have to wait a while longer until OnePlus unveils the OnePlus 7. Instead, the handset might opt for a pop-up front-facing camera, similar to that seen on the Oppo Find X. The phone will not be a 5G device since we are still in the early stages of 5G deployment. Some rumors have claimed that it could be equipped with a 4,150mAh battery. One feature that OnePlus users were looking forward to on the OnePlus 7 is the wireless charging feature.
Other features noticeable are the continued lack of a headphone jack- face it, it's gone for good in most phones (but then we thought that about wireless charging a few years ago), a single bottom-firing speaker and their usual, and extremely useful, alert slider. The launch timeline of the 5G variant is still unknown - it's possible that OnePlus will announce it along with the OnePlus 7.
