It's hard to parse fact from fiction eight days from the NFL Draft, but recent events suggest that the Giants might have a legitimate opportunity to land Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray next Thursday night. Yet that's just one of six selections he and the Niners will have at their disposal when the draft kicks off on April 25. Nine days before the 2019 NFL Draft, general manager Steve Keim insisted that the team remains undecided on what to do with the top pick. To make sure the series explores a variety of scenarios the first round pick will be different for each seven-round mock and the picks will be made with the help of a different set of draft rankings each time. Keim, for his part, said he learned long ago it made little sense to force any draft picks down a coach's throat, since it inevitably causes a problem for the player as soon as he arrives.
Murray is a talented athlete who can throw, run and has a accurate arm. "They have the left tackle they want, or they have the right tackle they want".
San Francisco could stand to take advantage of that, too.
This scenario puts the Jets in a tough spot, but it's not a bad problem to have, picking between two elite defenders. They need an edge rusher more than an interior defender, so Kentucky's Josh Allen might get the nod in that situation. Either way, at some point or another, expect them to take a big swing at landing a starting quarterback. Williams was dominant at Alabama last season, recording 19.5 tackles for a loss and eight sacks.
LSU linebacker Devin White is the popular pick here, and the Bucs may indeed end up going in that direction here.
