Breath of the Wild sequel revealed by Nintendo in E3 2019 surprise

E3 is now underway and the gamer news keeps on coming.

Nintendo showed off a sneak peek this year of an upcoming game - and not just its usual in the glut of "latest installments" in the Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and Mario franchises. Introduced by newly installed Nintendo of America executive Doug Bowser - no, not that Bowser - it was light on surprises, but the highlights were a new Animal Crossing game, New Horizons, and a teaser for the sequel to the phenomenally accomplished The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Ultimate, two new paid downloadable fighters will be available: Hero from DRAGON QUEST this summer and Banjo-Kazooie this fall.

-During the Nintendo Direct showcase, the company announced and/or revealed new information following games: Luigi's Mansion 3, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, ASTRAL CHAIN, and Super Smash Bros. Be on the lookout for more details and links (and Links) from Amiibo News.

You can check out the trailer for the BOTW sequel down below.

I'd really enjoy if this was a continuation of Breath of the Wild, both in story and in gameplay, but I think I'd be even more interested if Nintendo's pulling another Majora's Mask, and plans to weird us out with this one.

Now, the tagline at the end of the trailer is something to the effect of "The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is in development", so don't get your hopes up for a Holiday 2019 release.
