Gods & Monsters' gameplay mechanics detailed, Ubisoft 'flattered' by Zelda comparisons

Gods & Monsters, at its very heart, is inarguably influenced by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Fenyx will be empowered with the gods' divine powers, with which they'll be tasked to fight a range of mythical monsters including gorgons, harpies, and cyclopes. At their E3 pre-show, Ubisoft also unveiled the final part of the Odyssey puzzle; another Discovery Tour mode, letting you take a non-violent, narrated trip through Greece, now with historical quizzes. The website describes the game as a "storybook adventure about a forgotten hero on a quest to save the Greek gods".

Once you've made something you can save it, and other players - on any platform - can add it to their game. To accomplish this, you'll have to overcome puzzling trials, traverse treacherous dungeons, take on legendary quests, and battle Greek mythology's most lethal monsters in this open-world action adventure.

Ubisoft has revealed a new "Story Creator Mode" quest creation tool for Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Through our work on Assassin's Creed Odyssey these past four years, our minds have lingered on another aspect of our history - mythology.

Will you be picking up Gods and Monsters when it launches on February 25, 2020?

And that goes right down to the art style.
