Early morning on Monday, the UP Roadways bus had dashed against the safety railing at a high speed and plunged about 20 feet into a drain, killing 29 people.
More than 40 people were on board the bus travelling from New Delhi, the capital, when it went off the six-lane, 165-km (103-mile) -long highway, the site of several accidents, and a police official said 18 passengers were injured.
The Yamuna Expressway, which witnessed the death of 29 people on Monday, seems to have become a highway of accidents.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bablu Kumar said that the ill-fated bus was going to Delhi from Lucknow when it fell into the Jharna nullah under Ethamadullah police station area.
State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered an investigation, as well as cash compensation of 500,000 rupees ($7,289) for the families of those killed.
The injured people have been taken to hospital, said the district magistrate.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the tragedy.
The committee comprising Transport Commissioner, Divisional Commissioner and Inspector General Agra range will submit its report within 24 hours.
