E-commerce major Amazon India has announced that it will offer Virtual Reality (VR) demo of products to shoppers during Prime Day sale. Basically, if you were planning to spend $10 at Whole Foods anyway, then you get $10 free for Prime Day.
With VR, Amazon will enable customers to experience the new products being launched and not just rely only on images to make a purchase decision. Prime members can even earn a $10 promotional credit when they spend $50 in-store at one of the 19 Amazon Books or three Amazon 4-star stores through July 16. The cities including Delhi NCR, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Pune come under the zone.
For instance, the fittings of a dress can be viewed on a 360-degree hologram, intricate jewelery can be examined, the inside of a fridge can be observed by opening the door, and much more.
This year Prime Day is 48 hours long - a record in the occasion's four-year history! - taking place on Monday 15th July and ending on Tuesday 16th. If you're not a Prime member yet, you can start a free 30-day trial to make your account eligible for all of this month's Prime-exclusive deals, including the ones we'll see next week during Prime Day. We wanted a way to showcase hundreds of exclusive launches and bring them closer to customers.
