The Lion King hits UK cinemas on July 19.
Thankfully, it sounds like the new Lion King film delivers on this front, with Uproxx's Mike Ryan gushing: "It's the most lovely effects movie I've seen".
Basically, the song is part of her upcoming album, The Lion King: the Gift. I grew up my whole life obsessed with all things related to #TheLionKing; like all three films, the Timon and Pumbaa tv show, the broadway play and especially the broadway soundtrack. "Authenticity and heart were important to me". No doubt fans will find something to complain about when it's released in cinemas, but it sounds like Disney succeeded in doing exactly what they set out to with this one.
Bollywood's King Khan and his son Aryan have done the voice overs for King Mufasa and his son Simba respectively in the Hindi version of Disney's upcoming live-action film The Lion King. It's the handiwork of director Jon Favreau, who is probably best-known for helming the first two Iron Man pictures and for his continuing performance as Happy Hogan in the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (including Spider-Man: Far From Home, which is now burning up the box office). It is influenced by everything from R&B, pop, hip-hop and Afrobeat.
Inspired by the story of Shakspeare's Hamlet, The Lion King tells the story of Simba (JD McCrary), young lion who is exiled from the Pride Lands after the untimely and tragic death of his father, Mufasa (James Earl Jones).
