Accomplished martial artist Joe Taslim, who appeared in the action masterpiece The Raid, has been cast as the deadly ninja warrior known as Sub-Zero. Mortal Kombat movies always have three major characters, The Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Shang Tsung.
In the reboot, which will be directed by debutante filmmaker Simon McQuoid, Taslim will portray Sub-Zero, a character who fights with ice, according to an American digital Hollywood magazine and website.
