Oscar victor Rachel Weisz as Melina, Stranger Things star David Harbor as Alexei AKA The Red Guardian and The Handmaid's Tale star O. T. Fagbenle as Mason will also feature in the film. I get to play Natasha as a fully realized woman and in all of her many facets.
Elsewhere, Marvel President Kevin Feige has confirmed plans for a Fantastic Four reboot.
The movie is being directed by Cate Shortland (Lore) from a script by Jac Schaeffer (The Hustle).
Similar to Black Widow and her colleague Hawkeye, Taskmaster too possesses mastery in the skills of archery and weapons utility, in addition to being a veteran assassin and tactician with super reflexes.
Pugh while talking about her character Yelena, said she is like a "sister figure to Natasha".
The new "Black Widow" movie now has a release window, but Marvel is keeping numerous film's details a secret for now. We've only seen glimpses of Natasha's past in the MCU, with her connection to fellow SHIELD agent Clint Barton teased in Avengers, her time in the Red Room revealed in Avengers Age of Ultron, and her parentage teased in Avengers Endgame.
Black Widow fans will have to wait a little longer to get more precise details on the movie, and while Marvel shared a clip during comic-con, viewers at home will have to wait a little longer to see Romanoff in action. She clearly wants out of the life she led before, and that's likely why she employs Yelena to help her out.
We've known about this one for a bit, and even seen some set pictures while they've been filming.
Black Widow is set to hit theaters May 1, 2020.
