It has certainly been a good year for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
He made £73.7 million between June 2018 and June 2019 thanks to his film and TV projects, as well as his various product lines. Over that year, the 47-year-old actor has raked in $89.4 million.
The Forbes report also talked about the biggest deals in Hollywood: Dwayne will receive his highest salary ever for the forthcoming Jumanji: The Next Level - $23.5 million.
Others listed in the top 10 highest-paid actors this year includes Akshay Kumar - $65 million, Jackie Chan - $58 million, Bradley Cooper - $57 million, Adam Sandler - $57 million, Chris Evans - $43.5 million, Paul Rudd - $41 million, and Will Smith - $35 million.
It's noteworthy that Johnson's co-star in the Jumanji franchise, Kevin Hart, was named the highest-paid comedian of the year by Forbes just last week.
Last year, Johnson was second behind George Clooney, who reaped a windfall from the sale of his tequila company. He brought in $59 million over that exact same time period. On top of that, Johnson earns $700,000 per episode of HBO's Ballers and millions more from clothing royalties.
Forbes' earning estimates are based on data from Nielsen, ComScore, Box Office Mojo and IMDB, as well as information from industry insiders.
Robert Downey Jr. follows a similar pay formula, which saw the actor raking in $66 million and earning him a spot as third on the Forbes list of the ten highest-paid actors in the world. Johnson is one of the most beloved actors now, but he had to work hard to get there.
Will Smith rounded out the list with earnings of nearly £28.9 million.
