Though industry experts say the card's financial benefits mirror many of those already out there for consumers, Apple is positioning it as a refreshing change from the thousands of other credit cards that have been available for decades. "Don't use window or household cleansers, compressed air, aerosol sprays, solvents, ammonia, or abrasives to clean your titanium Apple Card", cautions the service page.
The list of potential hazards includes leather and denim, prompting some people to conclude Apple's credit card is so special that it can't be stored in the wallets and pockets where most other credit cards reside.
Apple Insider first reported that on Wednesday a "How to clean your Apple Card" guide was added to Apple's website, giving some specific instructions about proper care for the credit card. The instructions warn that contact with the leather and denim the card can darken or cover with stains that won't wash off. Hopefully, Apple will fix the issue soon, but in the meantime, if you've ended up with Apple Card as your default payment for everything at Apple, here's how to fix it.
There are no fees associated with the Apple Card; no annual fee, late and global charges.
Apple Card's first tweet was announcing the availability of the card to USA customers. The company also advises cleaning the card with just a slightly damp microfiber cloth dipped in warm water or isopropyl alcohol. But at retail stores, that requires merchants to accept Apple Pay. Woe to those who have leather wallets because storing this new Goldman Sachs-backed credit card there can just make them look ugly forever. The card, which is a plain matte white similar to many of Apple's other products, and made of titanium, was created to be eye-catching and stand out from other cards.
According to The Verge, all these delicateness and fragility are given when it comes to Apple cards.
