Alyssa Michelle Hatcher, 17, was charged with two counts of criminal solicitation for murder at the discretion of her mother and stepfather - Tammy Hatcher Scheller and Michael Scheller.
Hatcher had spent some of her high school career on the cheerleading team, her Instagram account shows.
She was arrested by the Umatilla Police Department after the tip off.
An investigation quickly found that Hatcher had stolen the debit card.
It was then found that he funds were given to two individuals, according to the arrest affadivit (a written statement confirmed by oath or affirmation, for use as evidence in court).
A detective with the Sheriff's Office made contact with the teen's boyfriend, who said he saw her early Monday at a known drug house where she allegedly told him she wanted to kill her parents, the affidavit stated.
Police said Hatcher's motive as to why she wanted her parents dead is still unclear."The parents are good people, outstanding citizens".
She allegedly later admitted to investigators that she handed one person $400 to murder her parents, and another person $900 when the initial person failed to follow through.
Police said she used $100 of the money to buy cocaine, and the rest was passed on to the prospective killers.
Confirming that Hatcher's parents wanted to press charges, Jones told local station WOFL-TV, "When it comes to something like that, I can not imagine the shock you would be in as a parent knowing that this is my daughter - what my daughter meant to do".
Hatcher was taken into custody and later turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Deputies said the girl's friend reported the crime to a school resource officer at Tavares High School, saying that Alyssa Hatcher paid "a lot of money" to a mutual acquaintance in order for that person to kill her parents.
According to the report, Hatcher's parents are pressing criminal charges against their daughter.
