As you can see, there's not a whole lot of physical differences here, except the front notch is a little narrower, and instead of a waterfall edge display, the Mate 30 has a more traditional flat front display with aluminium edging.
Huawei announced the launch date of its Mate 30 series earlier this month, along with its "rethink possibilities" tagline which could be alluding to the fact that it will be launching without Android or Google suite functionality, or the possibility of the handsets featuring Huawei's Harmony OS. As previously, the cameras are embedded flush with the design, unlike the raised camera bump seen on the just leaked Mate 30 Pro.
However it seems like the Y9 Prime 2019 does adopt some of the features from its big brothers in the Mate series, thanks to a low-light mode in "Super Night" that can capture in darkness, alongside an AI mode that aims to improve images through scene recognition, similar to what kicked off in the P20 range past year.
That said, regardless of what's inside, the Mate 30 Pro is lining up some gorgeous hardware. The Mate 30 Pro and the Mate 30 will reportedly be powered by the new Kirin 990 SoC chip, which has 5G support so it's likely these will be 5G devices.
The Huawei Mate 30 launch is on 19 September in Munich, Germany. The fingerprint sensor is also placed on the back of the phone. The waterfall display is hinted by the splashes of water, but the symbolism could also mean enhanced water resistance.
Huawei's flagship will deliver a new circular camera module on the back, complete with four sensors, including two 40-megapixel lenses, according to reports. The Mate series has always been known for its great battery life, and the Mate 30 Pro is also expected to ship with a battery bigger than 4,000 mAh with support for SuperCharge and wireless charging.
Huawei Mate 30 RS Porsche design uses a different style. We're still waiting on images of the back of the device to reveal the rear cameras. Under the hood, it has a Kirin 810 processor.
This one will probably be the most expensive Mate 30 Pro version to buy this year, featuring the same overall design when it comes to the front side. The luxury smartphone will come in black and red colour options.
