Investigators said there was a wedding party on August 30 at the Shawnee Inn.
During the alleged assault, the bride reportedly entered the locker room, and the victim said she remembers the bride screaming at Carney.
Carney allegedly pulled the woman into a downstairs locker room and attacked her. In the call, Carney allegedly admitted that he began feeling her genitals with his hands, the affidavit said. Court records say Carney and his wife went to the parking lot and had a physical altercation.
Police filed expenses Thursday following an investigation that started September 2., the day after Carney's scheduled nuptials.
The footage shows that twenty minutes later, Carney's wife walked into the locker room.
According to a criminal complaint cited by the Post-Gazette, while members of the wedding party were rafting, the victim was allegedly so drunk that she was removed from the paddle board she was on, due to her constant falls into the river, and put on a raft.
When police obtained the video, it showed Carney just before the doorway "turning around and pulling the victim into the locker room", court papers say. She blacked out again and stated she wakened to search out him on high of her with her bikini bottoms pulled off.
Carney, meanwhile, allegedly told his guests the woman had "followed him" into the locker room after he told her he was going to shower. According to the station, police said the assault stopped when the bride caught Carney in the act.
One trooper interviewed Carney, who said he was extremely intoxicated that night and initially blamed the victim for "taking advantage" of him. "I know this is awful as well but my dick was out in the shower. Please tell me yes i'm begging you", he allegedly wrote.
Carney was charged Friday with involuntary deviate sexual activity and assault. He also allegedly apologized to her repeatedly during a phone call, one that investigators listened in on, calling the incident his fault, WPVI-TV in Philadelphia reports. An arraignment has not yet been scheduled for Carney, and his case is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
Carney's attorney James Swetz did not return a phone call seeking comment on the charges.
