Two people have been killed in a shooting incident near a synagogue in the eastern German town of Halle and one suspect is in police custody.
The shooting took place in the city's Paulusviertel district near where a synagogue is located, police said.
Before he began shooting, the attacker also broadcast an anti-Semitic manifesto online. All Jewish synagogues, schools and cultural centers in the region are being guarded around the clock by police.
Regional broadcaster MDR said the lives of two people who were seriously injured were no longer in danger.
Guardian reported that police has asked people to remain on alert. Halle's police force later sent a tweet saying they had detained one person in connection to the attack. That massacre drew strong criticism of social media giants for not immediately finding and blocking such a violent video. In the United States, the Pittsburgh massacre prompted many to debate the idea of ramping up security measures in and around holy buildings.
The man was then seen in the footage shooting at a patron of a kebab shop about 600 metres away from the synagogue.
"We saw via the camera system at our synagogue that a heavily-armed perpetrator with a steel helmet and a gun tried to shoot open our doors", he told the Stuttgarter Zeitung newspaper. "The whole thing lasted perhaps five to 10 minutes".
The clip shown by regional public broadcaster MDR shows the man getting out of a auto and firing four shots from behind the vehicle from a long-barreled gun.
A woman was shot dead outside the synagogue, the sources said.
"All the customers next to me ran, of course I did too - I think there were five or six of us in there", Mr Roessler said.
Other companies have dealt with similar problems in the past, like Facebook Live, where the New Zealand Mosque shootings, which claimed 50 lives back in March. I heard another loud bang outside, screaming but I don't know what it was.
