Bush at a National Football League game over the weekend and took to her show to clear the air after some expressed outrage on social media. "I don't like it, but I'm friends with people who wear fur and I'm friends with people who are furry, as a matter of fact", she said, through a smile.
Ms. DeGeneres said she knew this "very fancy suite" with "fancy friends" would be filled with people who disagree with her on her beliefs, but she said they still had "so much fun".
The BBC messaged Matthew, who said he was a student in Canada and added: "I think think it's weird that a meaningless tweet from a Canadian has become such a talked about point in American news. I mean be kind to everyone", she said.

The two were filmed and photographed laughing together in a private box, sparking strong reactions from her fans on Twitter.
Many criticised her for enjoying the game alongside Bush, who made his staunch anti-gay marriage message a large part of his 2004 presidential bid. "I will miss my friend".
