Shot 16 of 29 (55.2 percent) from 3-point range, but only 40 of 92 (43.5 percent) overall and missed five of 13 free throws.
The Portland Trail Blazers have officially signed veteran forward Carmelo Anthony. He said afterward it felt good to be back out on the floor.
Melo has been fairly open about his struggles to get back into the league and in a recent report, it was revealed that Melo even toyed with the idea of leaving the league for good. Holiday then came sprinting down court, took a handoff from Nicolo Melli near the 3-point line and exploded toward the rim for a layup.
"Who knows? I don't think anyone knows what's going to happen this year", he stated.
Anthony said it was hard to tune out speculation over which teams might give him another shot during his year out of the game.
"The physicality of the game has changed".
"The way that they call the game, the way that the game is played has changed, so you nearly have to adjust again".
Anthony Davis scored 34 points and LeBron James added a triple-double as host Los Angeles held on to extend its winning streak to five games, while sending Oklahoma City to its fourth loss in five games.
Portland had a slim one-point lead at halftime, but their legs went out from there. We have 100 plays.it's a lot in the middle of a season.
"I'm not really trying to dunk".
Trail Blazers Injuries: Jusuf Nurkic: out (leg fracture), Zach Collins: out (left shoulder dislocation), Pau Gasol: out (foot).
"I came to a point where I was willing to accept it either way", Anthony stated after taking part in the primary recreation of his 17th season along with his sixth National Basketball Association crew on Tuesday evening. That was a big point in talking to those guys: Be transparent.
