The character known as "Baby Yoda".
Secondly, with Christmas on the horizon, why is there no Baby Yoda merch available yet?
The following contains modest spoilers about "The Mandalorian's" third episode.
The Disney Store has tons of awesome The Mandalorian merchandise available now, including shirts for men, women, and kids. The proliferation of "Star Wars" projects means that the Wikipedia-sized franchise mythology will likely become even more dense - and the diminutive Baby Yoda hints at possible revelations to come.
According to CNBC, the merchandise is coming to retailers across the nation, such as Target, Kohl's, Macy's, Hot Topic and Box Lunch along with online e-tailers such as Amazon and Zazzle. Hasbro did not immediately respond to multiple requests for comment from CNN Business.
Unlike many other series releases, the initial merchandise release for Mandalorian didn't include anything with The Child, in order to maintain the secret of his existence until the series was released. And the only reason Disney didn't overwhelm us with merch before is because showrunners Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni didn't want to spoil Baby Yoda's appearance.
Quickly after the first two episodes of the series premiered on Disney Plus, fans flooded social media with tweets and memes of the adorable nameless character. Undoubtedly, we should expect more Mandalorian Lego sets soon.
"We still want to keep a lot of things a mystery, we don't want to go around answering things and making them less special, but let's tell a story that's interesting and compelling and add to this great galaxy". What kinds of merchandise would you like to see?
This series is much more grounded into the basics of Star Wars, its gritty and feels more like the original trilogy, which if probably why I'm loving it so much. Until more is revealed, though, Baby Yoda merchandise awaits.
