The year 2019 saw a complete turnaround in Apple's market share and presence in India, fuelled by attractive price drops on previous generation iPhone models (iPhone XR), affordable newer flagship premium models (iPhone 11) and attractive schemes on other products.
This isn't the first we've heard about thinner displays for the supposed iPhone 12 Pro models, as rumors of a new technology that allows touchscreen circuitry to be patterned directly on the OLED panel have been spinning for a while. The render depicts features Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had predicted back in October: 4.7-inch LCD display with bezels, a Touch ID home button, and a single-lens rear camera.
Compared to the iPhone 8, the only differentiating factor of the iPhone SE 2/iPhone 9 will be the frosted glass back. In fact, by all reports, it's expected to be virtually identical in all of its specs with the exception of an increase to an A13 CPU and 3GB of RAM to bring its performance in line with Apple's iPhone 11.
After struggling for so many years Apple has finally started picking up in India. We also see the lighting charging port, but sadly, the device doesn't look like it will come with a headphone jack.
According to the report, the company assembled its low-end smartphones with Wistraon earlier, and now it is producing the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 7 in Bengaluru. And the phone that appears in those renders looks an bad lot like the iPhone 8 that Apple released in the fall of 2017. The iPhone SE 2 is likely to launch in the first half of 2020. The images show as much, except the renders do seem to indicate that Apple - while using the iPhone 8 form - is perhaps going to mix it up with the finish and colours of the more recent iPhone X, XS and iPhone 11 Pro.
