The hot news now is that "X-Men" star Nicholas Hoult has joined "Mission Impossible 7" and will be playing the villain. After having made his classes in the series Skins, the actor has gained worldwide recognition thanks to its character of a mutant in the franchise X-Men.
Details of Hoult's role have not yet been revealed.
Nicholas Hoult has found his next mission. "Say, @nicholashoult, care to raise a little hell?" he wrote in the caption of an Instagram post alongside a black and white picture of the actor.
Landing such a big role will come as great news to Nicholas, who past year lost out to Robert Pattinson as the lead in a Batman reboot trilogy.
Hoult's casting comes after he misplaced out on the prospect to star alongside Cruise within the "Prime Gun" sequel.
The next two films in the franchise, which McQuarrie will write and direct, will be shot back-to-back, with the eighth movie scheduled to be released in August 2022. Though he didn't get the part, he had a solid meeting with Cruise, which paved the way for them wanting to work together at some point.
Hoult most recently reprised his role as Beast in "Dark Phoenix", having appeared as the character in four "X-Men" films.
