The South Korean auteur and McKay are now in talks with the premium cable network and CJ Entertainment, the film studio behind "Parasite". Let's take a look. A visibly poor family cons their way to replace a staff of a rich family so that everyone can earn. It quickly mutates into another film type.
At the Golden Globe Awards ceremony on Sunday, in particular, Choi made another scene-stealing interpretation. Now, it has even begun gathering speculations that it might win Best Picture award at Oscars. Photo by Alexi Lubomirski (@alexilubomirski).
But unfortunately for viewers, there are no plans if it coming to Netflix yet.
Unfortunately, no streaming plans for parasites have been announced yet. We also know that the film will have a selected theatrical release from February 2020. In the case of Parasite, it is distributed by a Korean company called CJ Entertainment. While the fact that the parasite is established in South Korea is no less significant to the American public, it can be interesting to see how McCawy works with Bong Joon-ho to identify specific United States conceptions of capitalism within the parasite. Given the awards, the film is in high demand.
Although this is disappointing, that's all that is known till now.
Parasite would be the second Bong Joon Ho film to get a series adaptation. IndieWire reported previous year that CJ Entertainment was eyeing an English-language remake of "Parasite", but at the time it seemed like such a remake would be a feature film.
After quickly squashed rumors last summer that Parasite would be getting the Hollywood remake treatment, Bong Joon Ho's masterful film then went on to become a major worldwide hit and one of the year's most acclaimed films.
The internet will have to wait and see what happens with the Parasite TV show. Let us know in the comments.
