"The disgusting photos were posted on an Instagram account that was deleted before it was announced that Ollie would be one of the contestants joining the winter series of Love Island in South Africa".
Broadcasting watchdog Ofcom confirmed it had received 231 complaints but Ollie has said he is leaving because he still loves someone else.
"Why isn't Ollie putting on any clothes to leave?"
Ollie was coupled up with Paige Turley during his few days on the show. "I have to follow my heart in this scenario, and it would be wrong for me to ignore these feelings", reports the publication.
Love Island continues at 9pm tonight on Virgin Media One. If I continued something with Paige, or any other girl who could enter the villa, it wouldn't be fair to them.
An ITV spokesperson told Heart there was no truth in Curtis' theory, adding: "Ollie made the decision to leave off his own back and explained his reasons for doing so in his quote".
They even threw up a clip of Tapp scoring the victor in a recent clash against league leaders Wealdstone (Oxford City FC play in the National League South, the sixth tier of football across the water) with a textbook Love Island reference for good measure.
"We will support Ollie as he leaves the villa".
Oxford City revealed late on Wednesday night that they were unaware of Tapp's upcoming appearance on the show but took it in their stride, acknowledging that keeping schtum is normal protocol for all contestants and wishing him luck on the show.
The negative headlines won't be a shock to Ollie when he gets home. 'We were 18 when we first met, 19 when we first started going out and 20 when we finished going out, ' the 23-year-old Brit nominee spilled on a New Zealand radio show.
Unbelievably he has never watched their love story unfold on last year's series of Love Island. Getting to know Paige has made me realise that I still have feelings for someone on the outside.
He said: "I'm critical of myself as it is without seeing myself on screen".
