Warren insisted Sanders had made the statement. Sanders said. "I don't think anybody believes that". In a statement to CNN and at the debate, Sanders denied saying it. Warren, though, implicitly confirmed it when she said that she "disagreed" with what Sanders had said. "I didn't say it".
Another uncomfortable comparison arose from those who heard echoes of the #MeToo movement in the conflicting accounts Warren and Sanders offered of their 2018 conversation. CNN reported that the alleged comments were made during a private meeting between Sanders and Warren in late 2018 as the two prepared to campaign for president. Sanders asked. "Of course a woman can win". He cited Hillary Clinton's popular vote margin to establish that he knew it was possible.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi finally signed articles of impeachment Wednesday and sent them to the Senate - a supposedly "somber" occasion marked by much ridiculous fanfare, including laughing while passing out signing pens. When she refuses his outstretched hand, Warren repeats, "I think you called me a liar on national television". The hashtag "Women for Bernie" trended on Twitter and the campaign said it raised an astonishing $1.7 million in the hours after the debate.
Some in Sanders' camp believe Warren sought out a fight with him, and blame her for the breakdown in their informal peace pact.
"But look", she continued.
As a point of analysis, I don't agree with the view that a woman couldn't beat Trump in 2020. Collectively they have lost 10 elections.
For the first time, not a single candidate of colour appeared on stage. Warren had refused to shake Sanders' hand, and now we know why: instead of a "hello", she approached the Vermont senator with a big accusation. "Just to set the record straight, I defeated an incumbent Republican running for Congress". "If you want to have that discussion, we'll have that discussion", Sanders said. Klobuchar and Warren said they planned to vote in favour of the USMCA. "That's how I won". "Wasn't that thirty years ago?"
Sanders said the agreements "were written for one reason alone, and that is to increase the profits of large multinational corporations".
Not because I trust Warren over Sanders-I don't trust either of them.
"It's absolutely something she's had to face the whole time", said Lucy Flores, a former Nevada state lawmaker who has endorsed Warren.
Mr. Sanders then pointed out that from his point of view it was Ms.
Others, including Buttigieg, Biden and Klobuchar, said they favoured maintaining a small military presence in the Middle East.
