Earlier on Tuesday, a former agent of accuser Jessica Mann took the stand, testifying that Mann showed no signs of distress on the morning she says she was sexually assaulted by Weinstein. She said when the women figured out he was an industry big shot, she "made a joke" and said "that's why everyone is being so nice to you". "I would never close the door on anybody".
Salinas took the witness stand as the defense called witnesses for a third day after more than two weeks of prosecution testimony.
Prosecutors rested their case last Thursday after jurors heard testimony from six women accusing Weinstein of sexual assault, including Mann, Mimi Haleyi and Annabella Sciorra, who said Weinstein raped her in her home in the early 1990s.
"My name has been used in a disparaging way. Ms".
Young said she met Weinstein and Salinas, an acquaintance, in the Montage hotel on 19 February 2013.
Weinstein's lawyers haven't said whether he will testify. Asked by Weinstein's lawyer Damon Cheronis whether he was testifying to help Weinstein, Richards answered, "Not at all". He confirmed the decision in open court after meeting behind closed doors with his lawyers for a half-hour as speculation swirled that they still hadn't talked him out of it.
Maia claims she met both Mann and Weinstein for breakfast at the hotel in March 2013, and accompanied Mann to her room before she checked out.
The charges against Weinstein- of rape, criminal sexual conduct and predatory sexual assault - are independent of these accusations.
The 67-year-old Weinstein has maintained any sexual encounters were consensual.
Her roommate, she added, went even further: "She put her arm around Harvey and pinched his cheeks and said, 'No, it's because he is so cute'". An event "can be remembered as being more upsetting or traumatic than it was at the time", she said.
Salinas disputed other parts of Young's account, saying that while they did meet at the hotel bar on the night of the alleged assault, it was not because Weinstein wanted to see her.
Asked on cross-examination if she told investigators previous year that it was possible Weinstein took Young to the room, Salinas replied: "What's true is that I wasn't there in a bathroom scenario".
"If I said that, I was suggesting that it could have happened but that doesn't mean that I was there", she said.
A Mexican model and actress has denied standing by and doing nothing while Harvey Weinstein groped a woman in a Beverly Hills hotel in 2013.
It comes after Mann's former friend Talita Maia, a Brazilian-born actress, testified on Monday that Mann did not show any distress after the alleged attack.
The accuser testified last week that she didn't tell anybody what happened but was "pretty shut down" at breakfast. "She seemed to really like him as a person".
Maia said she was giving evidence in response to a defence subpoena, telling jurors: "I don't want to be here at all". She said the two women fell out in 2016 but added: "I don't hate her or anything like that". All of the women were asked to state their height and weight at the time of their alleged sexual assault, and a pattern was established, where numerous women said Weinstein forced them onto a bed and got on top of them so that they could not fight back.
She was then asked by Rotunno: "Did she ever tell you that Harvey Weinstein hurt her?"
