These smartphones will be available in India starting March 6th, 2020.
The pre-booking for Samsung's flagship smartphone starts at 12:00PM IST on February 15 and customers will get their device on March 6, 2020. The Galaxy S20+ will retail for Rs. 73,999 in India and is available for pre-order starting today at 12 PM.
Notably, the company has also revealed a bunch of attractive pre-booking and operator offers for all the interested buyers.
When it comes to the cameras, the virtually hidden specsheet of the Galaxy S20-trio reveals a pretty massive difference between the Galaxy S20 Ultra and its slightly smaller siblings. The new flagships will also come with the optional Samsung Care+ (accidental and liquid damage protection) service for a period of one year from purchase. Additionally, customers pre-booking the Galaxy S20-series models can avail the Samsung Care+ service at Rs. 1,999.
Jio is offering double data benefits along with one year of unlimited services with an annual Rs. 4,999 plan. Samsung has given the Galaxy S20 Ultra a 6.9-inch QHD+ screen.
While for Airtel users, Samsung is providing double data on the recharge of Rs 298 and Rs 398 for the first 10 consecutive recharges for prepaid customers.
As far as Vodafone and Idea customers are concerned, Samsung will provide double data on recharge of Rs 399 with 56 days validity for the first six recharges for prepaid customers. The phones start at $999 (roughly Rs. 71,500). Galaxy S20 Plus gets a 6.7-inch AMOLED QHD+ screen and the highest-end S20 Ultra features a 6.9-inch AMOLED QHD+ screen. The smartphones include either Exynos 990 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of onboard storage. We expect the Exynos 990 variants to be released in India.
Looks like their main focus is on the S20 series, and the limited stock of the Z Flip can also be a factor as to why it may be coming to India at a later stage.
The Korean brand stated that Galaxy S20 comes with a new camera system-powered by AI and with Samsung's biggest image sensor. The camera setup on the rear can achieve a zoom of up to 30X with the 64MP telephoto lens which is a highlight of the S20 and S20+.
According to Samsung, Galaxy S20 offers an 8K video shooting.
