Idris Elba's fears about spreading the virus while asymptomatic are, indeed, a major part of the reason most of the world has engaged in quarantine protocols, as COVID-19 can be in a patient's system for weeks before actually manifesting symptoms.
Idris, 47, told Oprah, he "hasn't witnessed any major symptoms" and is 'feeling okay'.
