"I kind of felt like I got hit by a train", Fairbanks said.
Like Aniston and Kimmel said, we are more than grateful for Fairbanks and her fellow hospital workers for doing all they can to combat the pandemic.
The beloved actress gave an update about her self-quarantine when she appeared on pal Jimmy Kimmel's at-home episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday. You know, I feel like I've got a head cold combined with the flu.
"Hi, honey, it's so good to meet you", Aniston said.
At the time of writing, the USA has reported more than 260,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus - and over 6,000 people have died from the disease to date. "We have lots of people coming in right now and lots of people that are testing positive", said Fairbanks. "I really appreciate that". She also added, "Today is three weeks..." While she's furloughed from work and away from her two kids, she explained, she's been taking care of herself and ordering food. The medical worker, Kimball Fairbanks, has two daughters - ages 4 and 18 months old - and is now quarantined.
As the pair chatted, Jimmy then said to Kimball: "We wanted to cheer you up a little bit so we'd like you to meet somebody, her name is Jennifer". "You know what Jimmy cooked up?"
Jen opened up about what she's been doing while stuck at home and she talked about how being inside her house for long stretches of time is not a challenge. "I allow a check-in in the morning, and then I'll do a check-in in the evening, and that is it because basically it's regurgitating the exact same thing". Her new "favorite thing in the world"?
While chatting with Kimball, who revealed she is starting to feel better, Jimmy announced he had a few special surprises in store for her, the first being Jennifer Aniston, who jumped onto the video chat to say hello and express her gratitude for everything she and healthcare workers everywhere have been doing during this time.
"Not only are you doing your dishes but you're washing your hands", she quipped.
