"She felt like I would play football all season, and she'd take care of the house", Brady told Stern via phone from his new home.
"I think there's something about contact sports that teaches you a lot about discipline, respect, mutual respect for your opponent, that you don't get in non-contact sports", Brady said. And that was a big part of our marriage.
As a Jets fan myself, it is in my blood and DNA to naturally hate Brady, but he is in Tampa Bay now and I simply can't help but tip my cap to the guy for having the stones to step in with Stern. Brady went as far as to reveal that Gisele wrote him a letter about their marriage that he still keeps in a drawer.
Brady scaled back his offseason work by electing to skip the voluntary workouts during the offseason with the Patriots. "They know me. They know who I am".
Brady and Bündchen have been married since February 2009 and share two children, son Benjamin, 10, and daughter Vivian, 7.
The quarterback also has a 12-year-old son with actress Bridget Moynahan named John Edward Thomas Moynahan.
The 42-year-old, who since signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, said he harbored no ill will with his former team, and pushed aside the common debate over who was the true star of the Patriots' success: Belichick or himself.
Six Super Bowl championships, four Super Bowl MVPs, three NFL MVP awards, 14 Pro Bowls, 19 seasons in the league and a near-undeniable claim to GOAT status still aren't enough for Tom Brady.
"So, two years ago, as it even related to football for me, I had to make a big transition in my life to say, I can't do all the things I wanted to do for football like I used to". The man considered the "Greatest Of All Time" told the "King of All Media" that the night before announcing he was leaving, he called up Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick.
"I don't think there was a final, final decision until it happened", Brady said. "I'm a very emotional person".
Tom has been making plenty of career moves and a year ago he announced that he is launching multi-platform content company named 199 Productions.
The ex-Patriots gunslinger said especially in locker rooms whenever politics start getting brought up, there always is a divide, so with Trump, it was never about the politics, always about the friendship that started way before he was running for president.
