He tweeted, "Always enjoyed watching him on screen". Even though many among these films went on to become massive hits and received vast love from the audience, the stars weren't there amongst us to witness and enjoy the success of their own films. We will miss you.May his soul rest in peace.
Several actors took to Twitter to share their condolences. Rest In peace, Sir.
An emotional Jaaved said, "My father entertained you all for 70 long years, please do pray for him". #Jagdeep ji's THIS line from Sholay, is one of his many, that I use even today, in his inimitable style! I had tears in my eyes when I saw him do that. He was a brilliant artiste, and his comic timing was the one thing I have always admired.
Rahul Dholakia: "As a kid, the one dialogue I would repeat on loop was "ye thumbs up nahi, ye comes up hai" #JagdeepSahab was such a fantastic entertainer and actor!" In the middle of all that chaos, it was Naved's dad, Jagdeep who had fallen in love with the elder sister of that girl with whom his son was getting married. They should have written films around him.
