A dive rescue team and helicopter helped search the lake Wednesday night, and the search resumes Thursday morning, but authorities believe Rivera drowned, according to the network.
Riveras started her career as a child actress and is best known for portraying Santana Lopez on hit series Glee from 2009-15. Her son, Josey Hollis Dorsey, was found sleeping on their rental boat, telling people that Naya jumped into the water and did not return.
Deputies found her son, Josey, floating alone just before 5pm.
According to multiple reports, Ventura County Police have presumed Rivera to be dead and are calling it a search and recovery effort. The mother and son were said to have gone swimming; as told by Josey himself to the authorities, with just the latter being able to get back on the boat.
Glee alum Harry Shum Jr was among the first to express his concerns, tweeting simply "praying" shortly after the news broke. We don't know all the circumstances.

E! reported that "Naya's friends and family (were) very concerned for her wellbeing" following the explosive incident.
Rivera shares Josey with ex-husband Ryan Dorsey. Investigators are working on that, getting as much information as possible'.
