Ole Gunnar Solskjaer planning for ‘different scenarios’ as United chase glory

The 18-year-old has become a fixture in Solskjaer's first team since the Premier League restart, continuing his impressive form with his 16th goal of the season in United's 3-0 win over Aston Villa in midweek.

Manchester United have set a new Premier League benchmark after winning by a margin of three or more goals for the fourth game in a row by thrashing Aston Villa.

"There's quite a lot of planning going on", the United manager said.

Harry Maguire is the Manchester United captain after the world's most expensive defender inherited the responsibility from Ashley Young earlier in the season.

Pogba has won the Europa League and the League Cup since his return to Manchester United but the France star hasn't been able to inspire the club to Premier League or Champions League glory.

"I don't think it's like dramatic decisions, the word you said there", he said.

"You can not leave players out when they score goals", Solskjaer said.

"There were questions whether Rashford was good enough, whether Martial was good enough and Greenwood hadn't obviously emerged back then, but they are proving they are good enough, that they can play and that they will get better". Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will next face Southampton on July 14 in one of their four remaining games.

Solskjaer's men quickly began pushing for a second goal and were rewarded for their efforts just before half-time when Greenwood picked the ball up 25 yards from goal.

"I'm not anxious about Mason this season".

"We know what he is capable of and always trusted him to be a part of this squad and chip in with goals", he added.
