Disney World Reopens Amidst Coronavirus Surge In Florida

Disney Planet, which had been shuttered for almost 4 months, follows the May possibly reopening of Shanghai Disneyland with security safeguards and stringent social distancing rules.

Florida has now observed a lot more than 250,000 whole scenarios of verified coronavirus circumstances and has tallied far more than 300 fatalities in the past three days, with 11,000 new conditions claimed on today's park reopening working day.

Disney said it was enforcing social distancing of six feet (two meters) at attractions and inside shops.

"Our deliberate and phased approach at Walt Disney World Resort emphasizes multiple layers of health and safety measures", Dr. Pamela Hymel, chief medical officer, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, said in a statement. Fireworks shows and parades have been suspended to prevent drawing too many people together.

As a result, many cities and counties across Florida have reinstated restrictions that were lifted in May when infections began to drop.
