As we move into the next generation of game consoles, many things we'd previously assumed as standard are no longer so static.
Earlier this week, Sony also mentioned how the PS4 accessories will work on the next-gen PS5 console. After all, Sony has already unveiled the DualSense, and it stands to reason that numerous upcoming games will have features tailored around the latest technology.
The company has provided fans an overview of what now released PS4 accessories will work on the PlayStation 5.
When the PlayStation 5 was announced, Sony also announced several new peripherals like the DualSense Controller charging station, HD Camera, Pulse 3D Headset and a Media Remote. This level of compatibility will require a PlayStation Camera adaptor, which Sony plans to provide to PSVR owners for free.
The good news is that all PS4-certified peripherals such as racing wheels, arcade sticks and flight sticks will work with PS5 and PS4 games.
This financial year, Sony expects further 31-percent expansion in gaming-related income because of the PS5's dispatch, however operating profit should just observe a slight knock.
Every PlayStation 5 will ship with a controller in the box, but anyone thinking they can use existing DualShock 4 controllers as a backup or second pad are set to be disappointed. Sony believes PS5 titles should take full advantage of the tech embedded within the all-new DualSense controller. "So, please, don't feel like you have to go run out and line up anywhere until you receive official notice on how that will work". The DualSense controller has more advanced haptics, but both have haptics, motion sense, and touch controls. We've obtained a large lineup in retailer featuring plenty of new gameplay photographs and other game updates.
