Meanwhile, actress Rhea Chakraborty, who is accused of abetting Rajput's suicide, on Sunday appeared before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) here for questioning in the drugs case linked to the actor's death.
Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's sister Meetu Singh reached the DRDO guest house here on Sunday afternoon in connection with the CBI's probe into the case of the actor's death, a police official said.
Earlier on Sunday, an NCB team including Sameer Wankhede, who is heading the investigation, and a woman official had gone to pick up Rhea at her home in PrimRose Apartments in Santacruz but she opted to go in her own vehicle along with a Mumbai Police escort, amid speculation that she would be arrested. But of course, for the sake of justice everything is justified. "Jai hind", the statement from Lt Col Indrajit Chakraborty (Retd) read.
Did Sushant Singh Rajput use to take drugs? Sources also further confirmed that Chakraborty was involved in such consumption at Rajput's terrace with Rajput's house manager, Samuel Miranda, and Showik.
Dipesh clarified that he never brought drugs."One of my colleague Rishikesh Pawar used to bring ganja for Sushant sir", he said.
Rhea on the other hand, has not yet been summoned by the NCB owing to the back-to-back court proceedings that went on till evening.
All the three accused are in the custody of NCB. Rhea allegedly knew that her brother got drugs from Zaid and Basit (the peddlers who were earlier arrested by the agency).
The NCB launched an investigation after it received official communication from Enforcement Directorate (ED), in which there were various chats related to drug consumption, procurement, usage and transportation in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput case. He told ANI, "He (Dipesh Sawant) was in their (NCB) custody since Sept 4, without his family being informed".
