It will take place 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild, and it's going to launch November 20 for the Nintendo Switch. This is where Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity comes in as we'll finally find out what events caused this Great Calamity to occur.
As for gameplay, you can play as Zelda, Link, and more characters from the original game.
This is an action, fighting game that centers around players hacking and slashing through massive hordes of enemies.
While the game's producer Yosuke Hayashi, from Koei Tecmo, said Age of Calamity was developed in close conjunction with Nintendo's Zelda team who were involved "in every step of the process".
This morning Nintendo has revealed a brand new Hyrule Warriors game for the Nintendo Switch, Age of Calamity, set 100 years before Breath of the Wild.
"Witness the events of the Great Calamity first-hand and try to save Hyrule from destruction!"

Those of us desperately waiting for any further news on the sequel to The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild can look forward to a little something to tide us over in the meantime.
In the video Aonuma-san revealed that the Zelda team are now hard at work on Breath of the Wild 2 and fans will have to wait "a bit longer" for updates on the highly anticipated title.
The premise for that game being that players get to take control of one of many different Zelda characters from the series and wield different weapons. And we don't have to wait much longer to know more about the game either, as a further update will be broadcast on September 26.
In the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity game, which launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch on November 20, players will be transported to the time before the Great Calamity happened, participating in epic battles against a backdrop of familiar locations in Hyrule before they were destroyed.
