There have now been 4,354 total coronavirus-related deaths across the state. Three adult family homes and an assisted living facility also have an ongoing COVID-19 situation.
The DuPage County Health Department on Thursday reported 110 new cases of COVID-19 in the county, with no deaths.
The Minnesota Department of Health says compliance teams from the Departments of Public Safety, Health, Labor and Industry, and Agriculture visited more than 150 bars and restaurants in various communities over the last two weeks.
Fifty bars and restaurants met the MDH definition for a COVID-19 outbreak by the end of August. While the decreasing trend hopefully continues, the state's positivity rate is still "concerning". Currently, four Shelby County residents are hospitalized because of COVID-19. Of those tests, 4.4% were positive, compared to the rolling 7-day average positivity rate, which is 4.3%.
After a steady increase in cases over the last week and a half, an increase of 587 new cases is more aligned with how the state's daily case count had been decreasing prior to the surge that started last week. All 10 of the cases were from Northampton County. It brings the total cases in Monroe County to 1,763 since mid-March.
Avoid contact with people who are sick.
A total of 12,115 Florida residents have died from COVID-19, and that's 2% of call cases statewide. On Wednesday, there had been 1,896.3 cases per 100,000 there.
The median age of patients is 41 with the age range for infected patients from younger than 1 year old to 109 years old.
