OnePlus revealed a few months ago that it will launch an affordable smartphone for the United States market.
For those unaware, the company's mid-ranger OnePlus Nord launched only in India and Europe earlier this year. "The display is said to be slightly larger at 6.49" compared to the Nord's 6.44", but it will still have an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The cited source says that the OnePlus Nord N10 5G will be priced under $400, which is around Rs 29,480 in India.
OnePlus Nord N10 5G's base variant might include 6GB of RAM +128GB of storage, according to android central. OnePlus committed to offering 90Hz or higher refresh rate on all of its devices going forward, so it makes sense that the Nord N10 5G will include this particular feature. It is the first 5G-enabled Snapdragon 600-series chipset and it has already shown up on Geekbench in the past. Qualcomm claims this chipset will perform 25% better than Snapdragon 675. The Snapdragon 690 comes with Snapdragon X51 5G with a 2.5Gbps downlink. It now seems that the OnePlus 8T, 8T Pro, and N10 5G will share the same main sensor. It's now unclear whether OnePlus will continue to offer users an AMOLED panel or opt for an LCD panel at the rumored $400 price point. The original OnePlus Nord comes with a starting price of Rs 24,999 in India.
It has also been reported that the OnePlus Nord N10 5G will be the first OnePlus phone with a 64MP primary camera.
There is now no information on the launch date but the report does mention that it will be priced under $400 (around Rs. 29,499) in the US.
