Despite Season Two having yet to air on Netflix, it looks like The Witcher TV show may already have had its third season given the greenlight. Our first look at Henry Cavill's Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher season 2 was released today, complete with some bolted-on armor that, hmm, emphasizes the abs.
World of Warcraft's associate narrative designer Anne Stickney has responded to a tweet showcasing Geralt's Season 2 style, joking: "Is it... is it a little warm in here", to which WoW author Christie Golden has replied "on the Arthas train" - a reference to the MMORPG's iconic paladin.
The official synopsis for The Witcher Season 2 confirms that Ciri will be visiting the Witcher castle Kaer Morhen, which is presumably the snow-covered grounds that she is pictured in above. It would seem that Geralt's hair has an even more natural look, and hopefully they'll be putting it through its paces with even more bathing scenes.
The hella steamy new pics have gotten The Witcher fans all excited on Twitter. Further character profiles from The Continent are expected to arrive later this week. "Killing Eve" alum Kim Bodnia will play Vesemir, Geralt's Witcher mentor and Paul Bullion ("Peaky Blinders") will play Lambert, one of Geralt's Witcher colleagues.
The description continues, "While the Continent's kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more risky: the mysterious power she possesses inside".
Back in February, Netflix shared a few key details surrounding Season 2.
