Confirmed: Apple will announce iPhone 12 on October 13th

Other features will reportedly include OLED displays, faster A14 processor, better cameras, support for mmWave 5G and sub-6GHz 5G, a high refresh-rate 120Hz ProMotion display (in Pro Max model), and the company's newest iOS 14 software. The event is scheduled almost a month to the day after its last big event, which gave us the Apple Watch Series 6 and two new iPads.

As with prior events, the "Hi, Speed" event will presumably be simulcast on Apple's website, Apple's TV app on the Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and its YouTube channel.

Apple is expected to unveil a smaller, lower-priced HomePod at its digital-only event next week, which has led to speculation about the possibility of a second-generation ‌HomePod‌ also arriving.

The iPhone 12 Mini is expected to feature a 5.4-inch display and is believed to be an entry-level smartphone in the 2020 lineup. CEO Tim Cook confirmed earlier this year that there would be a delay in the arrival of the company's new flagship, owing to COVID-19 hardware supply chain issues. He also said that Pro models are expected to sport either a 6.1-inch screen or a 6.7-inch screen.

Some iPhone 12 models could go on sale on 23rd October in select markets, some reports suggested.

The "Hi, Speed" event is rumoured to give us the new iPhone 12, which will be Apple's first phone with 5G capability. After all, last month's "Time Flies" event was focused on the Apple Watch, but Apple still found the time to announce two new iPads as well.
