It's a decline from the peak of 1,500 average new cases in mid-September. Currently, four Shelby County residents are hospitalized because of COVID-19. There are 196 hospitalizations, and a total of 44,943 people have recovered.
"We've started to flatten our curve", said Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry during Monday's news conference, after announcing 358 new COVID-19 diagnoses in the province this past weekend.
