Manchester United make fresh move for Amad Traore

He is expected to complete the switch in January, subject to a medical, personal terms and a work permit.

Manchester United have completed the signing of Atalanta starlet Amad Traore, according to reports in Italy.

When Traore was initially linked to United it was believed that he would not be an alternative to Jadon Sancho, and the arrivals of Facundo Pellistri and Ousmane Dembele - should either or both join - are not necessarily obstacles for a move for the England worldwide later down the line.

United have been working on a move for the 18-year-old but encountered issues in arranging a visa but it seems there has been a breakthrough with the same.

As confirmed by the club's official site, Manchester United have agreed on a deal to sign Amad Diallo in January.

'Deal agreed right now with Atalanta but the young talent [born in 2002] will arrive on 2021 because of work permit and passport timing'.

Neither player are truly first team ready players, but United may position them as such, bringing them into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad immediately. The teenage prodigy, rated quite highly in the Italian club's academy, made rapid progress before breaking into La Dea's first-team setup last season. He has one goal in his three Serie A appearances.

Traore's record at youth level is impressive.

Traore scored just four minutes into his league debut last October after coming on as a 79th-minute substitute in a 7-1 home win over Udinese.
